Vocational Orientation

Year 8 explores the world of work with VR glasses - preparation for the three-day career exploration

The realistic 360° experiences enabled the young people to get to know different professional fields up close. Whether technical, social, manual or creative professions - the learners were able to immerse themselves directly in different areas of work and experience the activities, processes and requirements that could await them.

The VR units not only served as an initial orientation, but also helped many young people to specify their interests and select suitable locations for the upcoming exploration days. In discussions afterwards, it became clear how motivating the virtual insights were for the students: Many were surprised by the variety of possibilities and how practically and vividly professions can be experienced through VR technology.

With the use of VR glasses, the school is focusing on modern and experience-oriented approaches to career guidance. All Year 8 classes were able to benefit from this offer and are now much better prepared for the three-day career exploration.

We look forward to evaluating the students' experiences and impressions afterwards - and to continuing to offer them a wide range of support on their path to a professional future.
