Our school has been registered for the "School of the Future" state program since 2016. With the projects of the state program, we want to accompany our pupils on their way to a conscious and responsible approach to their environment. The aim is to teach them the skills they need to shape their lives in a sustainable way. The focus is on learning to make decisions in the area of conflict between ecological, social and economic perspectives and to recognize systemic and global connections. The campaign period extends until summer 2020. A school receives certification if pupils and teachers have committed themselves to education for sustainable development with their ideas and projects.
Since our school is committed to the topic of sustainability and Since the topic of sustainability and education geared towards sustainable development has been a major concern for our school from the very beginning, we have firmly anchored this aspect in our everyday school life and in our curricula and lesson content.
The implementation of such a project and the active shaping of education for sustainable development requires cooperation and management both within and outside the school. A team of several teachers and pupils supervises the implementation, uses existing participation structures for their projects, expands them or creates new ones.
