Under the motto “Check – Call – Press,” the young people learned the basic steps of CPR. The goal of the training is to reduce hesitation and empower young people to act quickly and safely in an emergency. The training covered theoretical basics and, most importantly, included hands-on practice using CPR manikins.
The team of instructors at the Euregio Comprehensive School expressed great satisfaction with how the training sessions went. The students participated with great interest and high motivation. After the exercises, many of them said they now felt much more confident in their ability to provide assistance in an emergency.
Lay resuscitation is considered a crucial factor in cases of cardiac arrest. Experts emphasize that resuscitation efforts initiated immediately can significantly increase the chances of survival for those affected. For this reason, the necessary knowledge should be taught as early as elementary school.
By successfully conducting these training sessions, the Euregio Comprehensive School is sending a clear message about social responsibility and health education. The school administration and the team of instructors hope that the knowledge gained will help save lives in the long term and raise awareness of first aid in a lasting way.
“Anyone can save a life. That’s exactly the message we want to convey to our students,” the team of instructors concludes.
