What is it all about?
Pedal for 21 days for more climate protection and cycling promotion and collect kilometers for our school. As part of the CITY CYCLING campaign in Gronau, schools, clubs or individual citizens will be competing together from May 1 to May 21, 2026. The aim is to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bike. It doesn't matter whether it's to work, school or the countryside.
Who can take part?
Not only pupils can take part, but also the teachers and parents of our school.
How can I take part?
Simply register at www.stadtradeln.de/gronau or via the CITY CYCLING app for the city of Gronau and join our school team ("Werner-von-Siemens-Gymnasium der Stadt Gronau - Sekundarstufe I und II - Gronau (Westf.)"). You can also reactivate your old account from the previous year here. Then start cycling and enter the kilometers online or track them using the CITY CYCLING app.
Challenge cup and Hölzenbein Challenge
You can also compare yourselves with other class teams at school by joining the sub-team of your class (e.g. class 6b). (Class) teachers and parents are also allowed to take part. The cycling kilometers are still counted for the entire school team. The class with the most kilometers ridden will win the Hölzenbein Challenge again this year and may receive prizes or the challenge cup of the city of Gronau.
