Since 2019, EGS has held the “Euregio Profile School” certification, which is awarded annually by the Münster District Government at a formal ceremony. After the school choir had the honor of providing musical accompaniment for the certification ceremonies in 2023 (Winterswijk) and 2025 (Enschede), we set out this year for the town of Bocholt (DE) to delight the audience in attendance—including the EGS’s Europe Coordinator, Mr. Porschen; teachers from other Euregio Profile Schools; and the District President from Münster—and we succeeded! A total of 34 students from grades 5 through 7, under the direction of Mr. Schenzel, showcased their German-Dutch language skills in the three songs they performed, encouraged the audience to clap along, and were given a rousing send-off with thunderous applause. After a brief stop in the city, the group finally boarded the bus for the return trip to Epe.
The school choir thanks for a nice, musical day and is already looking forward to the next performance - probably at the anticipation market of the EGS!
