The new pupils were welcomed in a solemn ecumenical service. Under the motto "Fear not", the pupils were to be relieved of their excitement before starting a new chapter. At the end of the service, all new 5th graders were symbolically presented with a small tea light.
Afterwards, the trial level coordinator Ms. Hense welcomed the students in the WvSG auditorium. Based on the film "Encanto" and taking up the idea of the tea light again, Ms. Hense spoke about how each and every one of our new students can be a light at our school that illuminates, holds together and enriches our community.
After this welcome, the children in classes 5a-d are now embarking on a three-day familiarization programme with their new class teachers.
