This math competition is characterized by a variety of task types that deviate from supposedly "typical school tasks" and encourage students to puzzle, ponder, calculate and estimate.
The pupils visibly enjoyed the tasks and many worked diligently until the last minute.
All participants then received a certificate and smaller prizes in recognition of their achievements.
Marieke van der Wal (8b) was the highest scorer with a strong 71 points. She was delighted to receive several prizes, including a T-shirt, as she also had the biggest kangaroo jump (i.e. the largest number of consecutive correct answers).
The following pupils achieved the highest scores in the other year groups: Johanna Oing (5d), Mikolaj Dudzik (6b) and last year's best student Nathan Bozkurt (7c).
All in all, everyone involved can be proud of their mathematical achievements!
