Kangaroo Competition 2023 - Report

This math competition is characterized by a variety of task types that deviate from supposedly "typical school tasks" and encourage students to puzzle, ponder, calculate and estimate.

The students visibly enjoyed the tasks and worked diligently until the last minute.
Afterwards, all participants received a certificate and small prizes in recognition of their achievements.
Nathan Bozkurt (6c) was the top scorer with a strong 93.75 points. This puts him in the top 5% of his class in Germany, which is an incredible achievement. He was awarded several prizes, including a T-shirt, because he also had the largest kangaroo jump (i.e. the largest number of consecutive correct answers).
In the other grades, the following students achieved the highest scores: Caprice Schmidt (5b), Lennart Oing (7b) and Leonie Vischedyk (8a).
It is already clear to everyone: next school year, the Euregio Comprehensive School will participate in the Kangaroo competition again!!!
