Competition

Kangaroo competition 2019 at the Euregio comprehensive school

This math competition is characterized by a variety of task types that deviate from supposedly "typical school tasks" and encourage students to puzzle, ponder, calculate, and estimate.
As part of math lessons and study times, students were prepared for the Kangaroo competition and familiarized with the special task types, which are also increasingly incorporated into regular lessons.

The students visibly enjoyed the tasks and worked diligently until the last minute. Afterwards, all participants received a certificate and small prizes in recognition of their achievements. The following students achieved the highest score in their year: Paul Walther (5th grade), Lena Wagner (6th grade), Elina Isufi (7th grade), Kevin Cichon (8th grade) and Joelina Schwidder (9th grade).

Elina Isufi (7d) was the top scorer with 85 points. Lena Wagner (6b) also received a T-shirt for having the largest kangaroo jump (i.e. the largest number of consecutive correct answers).

It is already clear to everyone: Next school year, the Euregio Comprehensive School will again take part in the Kangaroo competition!
