Competition

Kangaroo Competition - Report

This math competition is characterized by a variety of task types that deviate from supposedly "typical school tasks" and encourage students to puzzle, ponder, calculate and estimate. During math lessons and learning times, the students were prepared for the Kangaroo competition and familiarized with the special task types, which are also increasingly incorporated into regular lessons. The students visibly enjoyed the tasks and calculated diligently until the last minute. Afterwards, all participants received a certificate and small prizes in recognition of their achievements. Lea Pfromm (7a) was the top scorer with 82.50 points. She also received a T-shirt for having the largest kangaroo jump (i.e. the largest number of consecutive correct answers). It is already clear to everyone: Next school year, the Euregio Comprehensive School will again take part in the Kangaroo competition!!!
