This math competition is characterized by a wide variety of tasks that deviate from supposedly "typical school tasks" and encourage puzzling, pondering, calculating and estimating.
The pupils clearly enjoyed the tasks and many of them worked diligently until the last minute.
All participants then received a certificate and small prizes in recognition of their achievements. There was also a novelty this school year: for the first time, two pupils won the internal school competition.
With a strong 103.75 points, David Gerwens (8c) and Nathan Bozkurt (8c), who once again showed a top performance, achieved the highest score within the school. They were delighted to receive several prizes - including a T-shirt - as they also had the biggest kangaroo jump (i.e. the largest number of consecutive correct answers).
The following pupils achieved the highest scores in the other year groups: Celea Weyck (5b), Ella Erlenkamp (6b), Johanna Oing (6b), Mikolaj Dudzik (7b) and Theodor Mußmann (10d).
All in all, everyone involved can be proud of their mathematical achievements!
