7a takes part in the national foreign language competition

The national foreign language competition is aimed at pupils in years 6 to 13 as well as trainees and enables participation in various foreign languages. In years 6 and 7, students are required to take part as a team, while individual participation is also possible from year 8 onwards. In addition to the necessary language skills, the main focus is on creativity and enjoyment in the creation of a film, a play or a radio play. The aim is to arouse the participants' curiosity about foreign languages and cultures.

The four female and five male students in class 7a quickly became enthusiastic about the competition. Together, they decided to record a podcast about their favorite computer games outside of their regular English lessons. In class, during study time and at home, they collected information on three different games, wrote a presentation, practiced reading the texts aloud and made the audio recordings. Finally, the podcast was finished and submitted on time together with the accompanying materials.

Now it's time to keep your fingers crossed for the nine young people. A jury will select the best teams from all over Germany and invite them to the language festival in Schwerin in June to present their entries. There are also other great prizes to be won, such as a grant for the class fund, excursions and non-cash prizes.
