They had one year to develop and implement their own project ideas. This special form of teaching gave the participants the opportunity to develop freely, which is otherwise not possible to this extent in the school sector.
Project development was required, from an initial sketch and associated material list to implementation and continuous improvement in the work process. Overcoming obstacles and reflecting on one's own work were always in focus.
At the end, the students proudly presented their results, which illustrated the different approaches of the working groups:
Among other things, there was a self-created and programmed slot machine, a go-kart with an internal combustion engine converted from a kettcar, a barbecue, an outdoor oven created from a discarded gas cylinder, a bar integrated into an old piano, a 3D cube with individually controllable LEDs and a mirror table with an infinity effect.
The students also appreciated the free way of working and remarked that they would be in favor of implementing such projects more often in the school context.
