Michaelis Run 2025

The time had come before the fall vacations: numerous runners from the upper school of Euregio-Gesamtschule Epe took part in this year's Michaelislauf in Epe. In glorious autumn weather and an exuberant atmosphere, Epe's town center was transformed into a sporting stage on which the pupils and hundreds of other participants demonstrated their passion for running.

Reaching the goal together

Supported by teachers, parents and friends, the young people showed great commitment and team spirit. Many had prepared for the event in PE lessons or in their free time - with the aim of experiencing something together and achieving personal bests.

"It was exhausting, but the atmosphere along the route was really motivating," said Efe from Q1. PE teacher Daniel Terbeck was also proud: "Our students gave their all. It's great to see how sport brings people together and strengthens the sense of community."

A sporty day with a role model character

In addition to the sporting successes, the main focus was on having fun. The Michaelislauf impressively demonstrated how exercise, motivation and community can go hand in hand. "It certainly wasn't the last time we took part," said sports teacher Leo Ludwig enthusiastically after crossing the finish line.

With the Michaelislauf, the upper school of the Euregio-Gesamtschule Epe once again proved its worth: Commitment, perseverance and team spirit are the key to success not only in the classroom, but also on the running track.
