As sponsors of the "Language Connects" project of the Rotary Club Gronau-Euregio, they informed the students about the possibility of being trained as language scouts.
As scouts of the project, the young people visit 4-10-year-old children from families with a migration background in a weekly rhythm, bring age-appropriate games, picture and reading books and spend an hour with the child. This way, language development happens almost incidentally and is also a lot of fun.
As scouts, they receive ten euros per hour for their commitment and also a certificate of their social involvement.
The project should help to promote a better and conflict-free coexistence of people from different cultures in our region.
