A few weeks ago, a student exchange with Zone College Almelo took place for the first time. Ten pupils from the Euregio comprehensive school had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Dutch school life for three days and stay with the host families of their exchange partners. The aim of the exchange was not only to get to know the cultural differences and similarities, but also to raise awareness of sustainability. One highlight was cooking Dutch dishes to promote sustainable nutrition. The pupils also looked after the school animals, built small birdhouses together and visited a dairy farm. In the afternoons, the young people had fun and made new friends with their own program, such as a visit to a trampoline hall, laser tag or pizza baking.
Both schools can look back on a successful exchange and are looking forward to the return visit in May. The Euregio comprehensive school is thus actively implementing its profile and demonstrating that cooperation really does give energy.
