Project trip to the youth castle Gemen

In order to expand the partnership between the two schools and give even greater importance to cooperation, a joint project trip to the Jugendburg in Gemen was organized from October 30-31. At the facility near the border in Borken, a total of 60 students from both countries mixed in four different workshops (sports & games, art, theater and photography) had the opportunity to experience the benefits of playing and working together in an informal way and to test their foreign language skills. The Jugendburg provided a fantastic atmosphere for this, away from the classroom and school building, which made the project special for the students on neutral ground. By the evening, there was no longer any question of a language barrier. The fun of getting to know each other was in the foreground and gave rise to one or two cross-border friendships.

The organizers Janina Pen, Katja Heeling, Peter Timmermanns and Philipe-Henry Porschen were therefore very satisfied with the exchange and agree that this 2-day trip definitely deserves a repeat.
