Like last year, a group of students of level 8 and 9 of the Euregio Comprehensive School was allowed to participate in the "FeierZeit!" organized by the municipality of Enschede. The festival for Dutch and German students took place this year on October 5th at the "Tobit Campus" in Ahaus. The approximately 600 students from Gronau, Ahaus, Enschede or Hengelo, could choose from the offer of different workshops such as graffiti, archery, soccer and many more. At the end, there was a joint meal with live music in the "Bamboo!", which helped the celebration to a worthy conclusion.
Everyone was enthusiastic about a beautiful and successful event on Friday afternoon, which was planned and designed not least with the help of some Euregio students. Our Sophie, for example, who played a major role in the planning of the event, did not hesitate to answer questions from Dutch television:

What is "The Great Week"?
Enschede, as the most German city in the Netherlands, organizes "Die Tolle Woche". After a first Germany Week was organized in 2016, a continuation was now planned for this year. The Great Week should become the event par excellence about and for cross-border cooperation. Enschede's direct proximity to the German border offers a number of opportunities for residents and businesses. Enschede therefore wants to promote cooperation between Germany and the Netherlands and has already launched a number of concrete initiatives, projects and actions.
