Anticipation Market

Euregional anticipation market

The sale of home-made pepernoten, a typical Dutch specialty, was particularly popular. Thanks to the energetic cooperation of the German and Dutch pupils, all the sachets were sold out in no time at all. There was also great interest in the project presented by the schools, and the young people proudly reported on their experiences.

Preparations for the event began on November 25, when 20 EGS students traveled to Almelo to make the delicious pepernoten in the kitchen of the zone.college. For many, it was the first opportunity to visit a Dutch school and make personal contacts.

In addition to practical learning and intensive teamwork, the focus was above all on encounters: through the exchange with peers from a neighboring country, the students were not only able to practice their language skills, but also make new friends - perhaps even with the prospect of future host families.

The project "The Euregional Anticipatory Market" was made possible by the Interreg program Germany-Nederland and its program partners and co-financed by the European Union (EU).
