Mr. Porschens' 7th grade Dutch class and the German class of the Montessori College in Hengelo paid a visit to their respective schools on Feb. 15 and March 7, 2019, respectively.
The reason for this was the laying of the foundation stone for the exchange with our Dutch partner school, which has so far extended into the 9th grade. After the first contact was established through poems and gifts for Sinterklaas and Christmas, the first "real" encounters were to take place within the framework of workshops that we had worked out ourselves. The main focus was on having fun, rather than on a staged testing of knowledge. In the playful workshops, such as a taste test or playing video games together, the students from both nations really got close to each other, laughed and played together. Just like in real life. We are already looking forward to our next joint projects and send vriendelijke groeten naar Hengelo!
