Picture book workshop in the House of the Netherlands

Together with the district government of Münster, the Taalunie and Bohem Verlag, the Center for Dutch Studies offered workshops for schools to get creative themselves and create pictures or texts for children's books. Through the "Pen & Penseel" exhibition, which is currently on display in the Guild Hall in the House of the Netherlands, the children were surrounded by inspiring Dutch and Flemish children's books and were able to let their imaginations run wild.

The exhibition, which can be seen in the Zunftsaal (Alter Steinweg 6/7) until June 23, is not only aimed at children. In fact, anyone of any age is invited to immerse themselves in the world of colorful illustrations and picture books.

In addition to the artistic and creative aspects, the district government of Münster and the Center for Dutch Studies hope that the workshop will get the students interested in a German-Dutch exchange and excited about the Dutch language.

The book they designed is now being printed so that the pupils can read the book together again and immerse themselves in the stories. Perhaps this will give rise to some beautiful new stories.
