In order to receive this award, the school had to meet an extensive list of criteria covering five key areas:
In the area of pedagogy & learning cultures, the school has established digital learning methods that make lessons more flexible and individualized. Pupils are increasingly working with digital platforms that support them in their independent learning.
The qualification of teaching staff also played a key role. The teaching staff are constantly undergoing further training in order to integrate digital tools into lessons in a targeted manner. The school's modern technology and equipment, such as interactive whiteboards and mobile devices (fully equipped iPads), provide the necessary framework for this.
Another important aspect was regional networking. Cooperation with local companies and universities helps to prepare pupils for the demands of the working world in a practical way, particularly in the STEM field.
Finally, a sustainable concept and continuation of digitalization was developed to ensure the use of digital education in the long term. This structure enables the school to continuously develop and respond to new challenges.
The award is an important milestone for Euregio-Gesamtschule Epe and shows that it is on the right path to sustainably integrating digitalization into everyday school life.
