Last Saturday, the Eurgio Comprehensive School received probably the best gift for its anniversary from its own school community. Pupils, the entire school team and dedicated parents from the support association contributed to a successful celebration with their creativity and tireless efforts.
"I'm thrilled with what the school has put together," said one visitor to the school party. And there was a lot on the day: in addition to various games and activities that the individual classes thought up and supervised themselves, guests could choose from a variety of culinary offerings, which were also prepared and sold by the pupils. A highlight for all visitors was the event equipment on the rubber pitch next to the triple gymnasium. There, both children and adults had the choice between bull-riding, an interactive arena, a crocodile run or an XXL bouncy castle. The wide range of activities on offer left nothing to be desired and attracted many visitors to Gasstraße. At the end of the day, many happy and satisfied faces could be seen.
The entire team at Euregio-Gesamtschule Epe and the pupils were able to prove to the guests that the school has outgrown its "infancy" and has overcome the initial difficulties, such as the construction challenges at both locations or the coronavirus pandemic.
Learning together should not just be a slogan, but a living ideal. The fact that this is the case at Euregio-Gesamtschule Epe could be experienced directly on Saturday. The positive atmosphere created by the anniversary celebration will be remembered for a long time to come.
