The use of digital content and social media is completely normal, especially for children and young people. In addition to the school iPads, almost all children in Year 7 have their own smartphone. It is very important to the teachers at Euregio Comprehensive School and the police staff that the pupils use digital devices responsibly.
Detective Superintendent Michael Wanning from the Borken district police authority gave an impressive and informative presentation on the dangers of the internet, cybergrooming, cyberbullying, the right to one's own image and much more. The children were very interested, learned a lot and are now surfing the Internet a little more safely and responsibly.
We would like to thank the Borken police and look forward to continuing our good cooperation. If you have any questions or uncertainties on the subject of "online safety", please do not hesitate to contact the Borken district police department's youth protection department.
