Ulrich Kolks, chief detective of the Borken district police, gave a very vivid account of his everyday work. He has been responsible for crime prevention and youth protection for many years and advises parents as well as educators in the kindergartens and schools in the district of Borken.
At the information evening, he shared with the parents of grades 5 and 6 his diverse and often daunting experiences in the field of "new media". Mr. Kolks provided stimulating and easy-to-understand information on how parents and educators can protect their children and young people from the dangers of the Internet. In addition to some information on data protection, the focus was particularly on the topic of cyber bullying. At the same time, he encouraged all parents to introduce clear rules on Internet use and revealed one or two tricks for implementation. Further information is available from the district police.
Many thanks to Mr. Kolks!
