Over the past few weeks, the students have learned and rehearsed the correct handling of the rules of the road and the associated dangers under professional, police guidance, so that they can now actively start their crossing guard duties.
Their main task will be to guide their fellow students safely across the road before school starts and after school ends. They will pay special attention to the younger pupils, as they are often still unsure of themselves. The whole thing is supervised by the responsible teacher, Mr. Hacker. He will regularly instruct the crossing guards and exchange ideas in order to constantly improve this important service.
