While the team of grade 5 unfortunately had to admit defeat to the strong competition in the round of 16, the team of grade 6 provided a furious performance. With only one lost set in 6 matches, they won the district championship in Steinfurt. In the preliminary round, two 5:0 victories secured them a place in the group, and then in the eighth and quarter finals, they defeated the teams from Gymnasium Johanneum and Gesamtschule Münster Mitte 3:0. Another 3:0 win against the Gymnasium Paulinum from Münster secured their place in the final, where the team from the Sekundarschule Epe deservedly beat the team from the Gesamtschule Lotte-Westerkappeln 3:1. With the good feeling of the triumph, the team of the secondary school can now travel to the state championships in Düsseldorf in April to compete with the best teams from NRW. There they hope for the next big coup.
